Dr. Suresh Subramanian: 

Suresh Subramanian is the Founder Director of POL Foundation, a San Diego non-profit organization whose primary focus is on reducing the burden of pediatric HIV in African slums, including ways to prevent new infections and ensure that those infected lead normal lives. 

Suresh has also served as Vice President and GM for Healthcare at Hewlett Packard, Inc. and most recently as Vice President for Insights and Innovations at Illumina, Inc.

Suresh has been working in and on the topic of healthcare delivery in slums since 2002 and co-developed and delivered a graduate course on Slums at MIT In 2020.

Suresh is an electrical engineer with a Master of Science in Urban Planning from MIT, a Master of Public Health from Harvard, and a Ph.D. in Diffusion of Innovations from the University of Nebraska.

Dr. Periannan Senapathy is a molecular biologist , geneticist and an author. He is the founder, president and chief scientific officer at Genome International Corporation, a biotechnology , and bioinformatics firm based in Madison, Wisconsin.  They develop computational genomics applications of next-generation DNA sequencing and clinical decision support systems for analyzing patient genome data that aids in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. 

He developed the Shapiro & Senapathy algorithm for predicting the splice sites, exons and genes of eukaryotes, which has become the primary methodology for discovering disease-causing mutations in splice junctions. Dr. Senapathy offered a new hypothesis on the origin of introns, split genes and splice junctions in eukaryotic genes.

Senapathy has a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the Indian Institute of Sciences , Bangalore, India. He spent twelve years in genome research for the National Institutes of Health’s Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Biology (NIADDK) and the Laboratory of Statistical and Mathematical Methodology in the Division of Computer Research and Technology (DCRT) in Bethesda, Maryland, and the Biotechnology Center and the Department of Genetics of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Senapathy founded Genome International Corporation for developing computational biology research, products and services

Dr. C. V. Kannaki Uthraraj, is the Director of Dip. NB (OG) post graduate program at KMCH, Hospital at Coimbatore India. She is an examiner for PG fellowship program in Reproductive Medicine of Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore & MGR Medical University, Chennai. Dr. Kannaki did her graduate & Postgraduate education from Madras Medical College, India. She got additional specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynecology in Central Middlesex Hospital, London & specialty training in IVF & ART at National University Hospital, Singapore and at Staten KlinikenBiefield, Germany. Dr. Kannaki had helped extensively in developing educational contents for providers and patients.

Dr. Gopal Srinivasan is a Board-Certified Neonatal Medicine specialist and developmental-behavioral pediatric specialist and has about 50 years of experience.

Dr.Srinivasan is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and is the former head of the Department of Neonatology at Mt.Sinai Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Srinivasan graduated from the Jawaharlal Inst of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research. Completed Residency and Fellowship in Neonatology at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Illinois

Dr. Kanagasabai Muthu  is the  Chief of Staff at  Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma, AZ. He is also an Associate professor of Anesthesiology and Cardiac Anesthesiology at that hospital. Dr. Muthu has over 40 years of experience in the medical field.

Graduated from Thanjavur medical college, University of Madras. Completed Residency in Anesthesiology in Loyola University, Maywood, Chicago, IL. 

Dr. Zehra Rizvi  is a Board-Certified Neonatal Medicine specialist in Downers Grove, IL and has 35 years of experience. She currently practices at Advocate health System of Hospitals in Illinois and Edward-Elmhurst Hospital. She graduated from Osmania Med College - India,  Completed Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and Fellowship, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, IL.

Dr. Kandhasamy Jagathambal  is a Board-certified Hematologist and Oncologist with specialization in immunohematology. She was a Director of Blood Bank and Coagulation Lab at Long Island Jewish Medical Center Hospital system for 10 years. She was a Clinical Professor of Medicine at  Long Island Medical center in the department of Hematology/ Oncology and was responsible for teaching Hematology Fellows in training. She is a leading Hematologist Oncologist at Eastern Connecticut Hematology Oncology Center and has been practicing for over 25 years and participated in National clinical trials for various Hematological and Oncological Disorders

Dr.Jagadambal  graduated from Government Stanley Medical College in India. Completed her post graduate training in Internal Medicine, followed by Hematology / Oncology and Immunohematology Fellowships at New York Medical College and Mount Sinai Hospital. She is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Immunohematology. 

Dr. Vibhaben Thaker, MD is a Board Certified Neonatal Medicine specialist in Downers Grove, IL and has 35 years of  experience. She currently practices at Advocate Health System of Hospitals in Illinois and is affiliated with University of Chicago Medicine Advent Health, Hinsdale.

Dr.Thaker graduated from Baroda Medical College , India, and she did her Residency at Columbus Hospital, in Chicago, IL and Fellowship in Neonatology at Loyola University in Maywood, IL.

Dr. Shamita Bansore is Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Bansore completed her Residency at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) in Staten Island, New York. She has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology at Midwest Women Obstetrics & Gynecology at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL for about 25 years. She had  helped extensively in creating patient education videos.

Dr. Alka Subramanian has been working as a Director/Executive Director at Power of Love since founding it in 2002. She is a strong advocate at the Foundation for empowering women and caregivers and including "love" in caring for the children as we fight the epidemic. Alka evaluates and manages the partnerships with the grassroots organizations we support, as well as coordinating all financial, legal, and reporting work.

Alka has 15 years of experience in the field of international economics and development.  She has published extensively and presented her research in multiple international conferences and proceedings. Her specialization is in building business channels and small businesses. Prior to founding Power of Love, Alka was a tenured Professor of Marketing at the University of South Dakota where she taught for seven years.

She is married and has 3 wonderful children who are all very supportive of her work. She has a Ph.D in Marketing from the University of Nebraska. 

Dr. Alka has helped us extensively in developing patient education materials and voiced over educational videos in Hindi.

Dr. Suma Pyati, MD, serves as a distinguished Neonatologist and Professor of Pediatrics at the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to her role as a Professor, she holds the esteemed position of Chairman within the Division of Neonatology. Dr. Pyati is also entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the Neonatology Fellowship Program as its Program Director and serves as the Co-Director at the Perinatal Center. Furthermore, she brings her expertise to bear as the Director of the Newborn Nursery at Stroger Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.
